I have that exact machine. Bought it the day I turned 18 and am 79 now. I would never get rid of it. It has never been in a repair shop and I sew on it almost daily for all these years. Just oil it myself every so often and it sews like a dream. I have two electronic machines, a Husqvarna and a Brother. Would get rid of the Husqvarna before I would get rid of my Singer. KEEP it!!!!!!! You wont be sorry.

Your decals on that machine are very similar to those on my 201. I'm going to french polish and try to get some more protection for the decals -- they're about 98% and in GOOD shape on my 201 and I don't want to lose them! They're fragile right now! Jeanette

Keep it and use it, even if it's only as a back up. I love my straight stitchers when I'm piecing.
