Default The Free machine stand is finished

Hello all,

Well it's been a long week of soaking oil trying to free up things on the Free, no pun, but, I delivered the base this afternoon. It must have set in mud for a long time because some of the metal was eaten away by up to 40%. I was able to free up the treadle, sandblast the stand, paint every thing. The table top is only for show and will be on another singer stand for my sewing room. I refurbished this top, which was given to me by a friend. That top was under 9 ft. of water for 17 days in Violet, La. after hurricane Katria. The home was a total loss and they moved to high ground north of lake Pontchartrain. I named the top "Lady Katrina". Enjoy the before and after pics . Chow for now.

Nice job on the stand Rodney! If everyone started with stands like that no one would complain about them being converted into other things.
