Take out the two screws in the needleplate from the top. That will release the bobbin case holder on the under side. This is after you have removed the bobbin and bobbin case, if you can. Clean it and oil everything well, including the area around the feed dogs, then put it back together. Make sure the little finger on the bobbin case holder is at the top and fits into the groove in bottom of the needleplate. Tighten the screws and hope for the best. There are good instructions in the 301 manual which is available free online if you need one.
