Only if you are a person who can repaint the old machines. This is exactly the kind Billy is looking for, to strip and repaint. He custom paints cars and sewing machines, so he is set up for this. The average quilter/old sewing machine collector is not. I hope someone will point this machine out to Billy.

absolutely No, it looks like a big headache to me. Even is it was free I'd leave them keep it,unless you need some parts then make of offer, 5.00 or whatever it may be worth to you.

Someone might notify Cynthia of CGail as her DH buys, restores and sells Featherweights and may be interested in it for parts? Also those of you interested in purchasing Featherweights might PM them to see what they currently have for sale.

Machine looks like it has been stripped for parts. Thread tention assembly missing. Throat plate missing and the hook assembly and bobbin case may be missing. These parts are costly and you could end up with a costly machine. I do not recommend spending money on this machine.

If I was in the market for a FW I would probably buy her. A little TLC and elbow grease would make her look great.

You need to consider the cost of complete strip down, overhaul and replacement of any parts not included or not restroable. If you buy and sell it as is you will probably recoop or at least come close to recovering your cost. Depending on if the motor is shot

How do they know the motor runs if they don't have the power cord? I see that on eBay sometimes too and wonder the same thing.
