I have the very small sq. nuts that fell out, I don't have what he called a bobbin rewinder stopper.
On sears it is not listed for that part. I put in genie 353 and 354 singer sewing machine 1/2 the sites do not list the machine, they seem to skip over it. The repair man called today and said I could just have it cleaned and use it ok, I just would have to stop the bobbin when rewinding, because the sewing machine would not. So will have it cleaned. I decided to have it cleaned and oiled. When I got it there was alot of dust (dirt)on the bobbin parts, which I cleaned. I never saw. the part for this machine, but did see rings. I have come to believe they only made it 2 yrs. and may not be many parts for it. I did see a few other parts, I also have a copy of the manual.
Thank you again, let me know any if there is anything thing else, I could do. I bought on e-bay used one week. You are so kind to help people, thank you! I paid 100. for machine and 80. to clean & oil. It is at a sew & vac repair.

Hmmm. There's one of these machines listed on ebay right now for 9.99. Of course what it closes at, I wouldn't know. My honest opinion is that you paid too much for the machine and servicing. But, what is life without lessons?

Wow, Your sears parts, is different then the one I looked at. I see on chart one- I have no .23 sq. olbong nut.
I must need no. 24 & 25. I ask what I needed he said bobbin rewinder stop. I put that in all my sites.
It not called that it seems on this chart. Bobbin rewinder stop & said nothing about a ring, but it was 2 parts.
Therefore I have been on search for the wrong name. I am going over early in the morining and show him the chart, first
I will go back to site to make sure they have it. Thank you! Will let you know, if you like. thanks! Reason to keep working on it

My husband said the same, but people who work on things have knowledge and time invested, but for machine yea,
I maybe did. I have been through alot as of late and maybe went overboard to feel better. I guess I need a vacation,
I going to save up for one.
Sorry to much information, I enjoyed the talk. Do have a good day or night!

sherian,

What do you have, a Sears or a Singer? You have used both names in the same line several times. They are not the same. Sears sold badged machines made by many companies. Singer made and sold Singer. If you have have a Singer 353 Genie, then it is a Singer, not a Sears. That could be causing a lot of confusion to the repair folks. It sure is me.

Your looking at a very small wrong sewing machine look at 1970's Singer Genie 353 & 354 Sewing Machine,
Mod 70's design, straight stitch and maybe first zigzag stitches without attachment. It has Orange and yellow flowers
across th top front. It weight is 18 lbs. It is cute.

I have a parts book for the 353 and found the list of parts for it. If it is the bobbin rewinder, the part no. for the stop screw is 139982-451 and the no. for the winder stop is 319601-451. Hope this helps.
