a $435 singer 15-91!! am i seeing it correctly - good for the seller but i don't know about the buyer. do you really think the pricing is not fixed. sometimes they do that on ebay. they jacked up the biddings. this is the SINGER 15-91 i am talking about.

That IS an all metal drive machine. Really really. and the 15-91 is the little brother of the 201 and like it's sibling will sew whatever you are cruel enough to feed under the presser foot. (I have had both models sew leather without batting an eye)

Oh, nice pick up on that clue, Anastasia. Won't go for much though, I imagine. Someone in Melbourne sold me a 201 a few months ago with no key, but they jemmied the lock! Urgh, why can't people just try the small sewing machine screwdriver (yes it works)? Without the lock that lovely case is useless.

why is it that of all the parts in that machine, they decided to put a fiber gear instead of a metal one. why oh why. now i can't brag about my 201-2 of being an all metal machine. is this true for all singer sewing machines or just the 15-91 and 201? hmm i wonder how durable that is? thanks for posting.

They are usually located between the drive shaft and other gears, in the event of stoppage of the gears to prevent the drive shaft or motor getting toasted
