We are all so JEALOUS!!! One of my quilting friends found hers for $10 at a yard sale - she did the same as you, gave them the money and RAN!! She is keeping an eye out for one for me now ... I keep looking, but haven't found mine yet - have three FW - even offered to trade one for a 301a on craigslist, but no go ... argh!

That really beats my scoring one at an estate sale for $35. We were both really lucky.

What a find! I just got one on eBay for $99 plus shipping ($128 total). Mine was the only bid. I just couldn't believe it. I actually bought it for my daughter. While she was deployed to Afghanistan, her ex-boyfriend took the used Bernina that I had given her. She wanted something simple to operate but powerful enough to do some home dec stuff. I knew this would fit the bill. I just have to clean and oil it, then I will be shipping it out to her. If I absolutely fall in love with it, I may start looking for one of my own.

I got one just like it at a Value Village that is next door to the Woodcraft store my husband was shopping in. I saw it and thought, "Wow, a case for my 301 that is in a cabinet". Then I opened it and saw the machine, too. The price? ... $4.99! I slammed it closed and ran to the register before they changed their mind. Yes, it had everything including bobbin case and manual. The 301 is great, I have 3 now but that was the cheapest one. Congrats on your find!

Congrats to you...Isn't it fun to find all these things and get a good deal too.....I found a Kenmore 1357 and a Free Westinghouse last week.....The Kenmore was 25 dollars and the Westinghouse was 18 dollars...both are in excellent working condition and as clean as a whistle....I really got lucky....
