It threads left to right. And the wheel turns forward.
Thanks Phyllis. Hints are noted. Found an OSMG locally who works on these old machines but he has been very ill and we will have to wait a couple of weeks to take our 29-4 to visit him. That is what happens when you become an Old Sewing Machine Guy!
