Default Holy guacamole! This is why everyone needs a repair man who knows his stuff!

So I found a lovely gentleman who takes antiques, cleans them up, repairs them, overhauls the motor, the works, and then sells them on eBay. Well, I asked him to take a look at poor old Faith-Ann's motor, since she's been chugging and overheating like no one's business. He promised to take a look, and I dropped her off on Monday. Well, he sent me a video to show her off, and all I can say is WOWEE!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eY44I1rfe8&feature=youtu.be I could kiss him! Did you see that?! 6 layers of denim! Holy cow!

Now, a bit of a disclaimer; he did have to replace her armature, as it had two bad spots on the inside, which no doubt contributed to her "mlurr" outlook on life, but still, I will give him full credit for her recovery. She's going to be like a brand new machine when I get her back, I'm so excited! I hope my attempts to rewire my 201 are half as successful!

That's great! My repair man sold the business and the new guy is not that great. The gentleman that did the repair work on my Wilcox-Gibbs passed away a couple of months ago. He was really great and he will be missed, not just for repairing machines.
So, I need a good repair guru! LOL

Do you know if there were bad parts in the motor that were replaced or was the motor and brushes just cleaned? I cleaned and took apart a few of my machines motors and it makes a big difference if the machine is sluggish.

The armature was worn in two places, and he cleaned out the motor as well. So both!
