Help with 301a
I am going to look at a 301a in the next few days. I really want it for FMQ and have been looking for one for a long time. Could someone tell me if the foot pedal is like the one on my 15-91? It's the kind that has the very small square button on it that you put your foot on. The 301a comes with a foot like this and I am just curious if it is the original pedal. It is a good price and it has a decent cabinet so wish me luck!

Yep...mine is a 1953 (best guess, as they didn't keep records for each individual serial number), and it needed that pedal. I had to buy one, because she came "bare"....no case, no cord, no pedal.

Thanks for the replies, you folks are so helpful. I spoke to the owner of the machine and she says it has a knee paddle and a foot pedal! I go and pick it up on Friday after work. I am so pleased to have finally found a 301a. Apparently it works really well too. Lucky me!
