Default How to adjust the belt tension on Singer 66 Redeye

Post #2019 in photos show my two new machines. However, redeye belt seems to be too loose and stop turning the wheel when treadling. What's the fix for this please and thanks in advance for replies.

Tighten the treadle belt. There are tons of instructions out there. Just Google installing treadle belt. Btw, Welcome to QB. Your "collection" puts you in the club. Lol.

Deriz56, We just put a belt on a treadle. Son had to get a small board, pair of pliers, very small nail, and put a nail hole in the belt. First you have to put the belt around the wheel and the balance wheel, hold it taut and mark it, then you do the above. The belt is supposed to have a heavy staple in it to use. Use pliers to close the staple. I hope you can understand this.LOL
