Default Adjust tension on drop in bobbin

When I was sewing the other day my fabric sucked down in to the bobbin and made a mess. I tugged, pulled back and forth, but finally unscrewed the plate and saw there were threads wrapped around a little finger like part that I had to cut out. I cleaned it out and screwed the plate back on. Now my tension is screwed up. The top thread just lays across the fabric no matter what number I put on that tension dial. I suspect I loosened the bobbin tension when tugging, but I have no idea how to tighten it on a drop in bobbin. Has anyone ever had this problem?

This video might help. About half way through she starts talking about the drop-in bobbin case. Scroll down in the text until you see the video.

    This might help: https://sewing.patternreview.com/Sew...ns/topic/33526

If you post the make and model of your sewing machine, someone might be able to direct you to more specific instructions.
