PatriceJ,
Sew-Classic has several sizes of bobbin winding tires. And most bobbin winders are adjustable. Each size Sew-Classic sells has a size diagram with it. So work your old one off and measure it, then compare those measurements to what S-C has and you'll be in business.

i will have to work up the courage to take it off.
i have a tendency to make things worse when i start taking things apart.
that's why i took it to the shop. LOL
if it has a keyboard, i can usually bully it into submission.
otherwise ... not so much. LOL
i don't suppose anybody can point me toward a source for the correct foot pedal?
case?
neither is crictical.
just "nice-to-have".

It looks a lot like (except the color) the Brother that my MIL gave me right after we were married (1969). I have had several machines since then, but keep it out at the lake and sew with it in the summer. It also does a great stitch and weighs a ton. It didn't come with an instruction booklet or a case, which was frustrating to me as a fairly young sewer. I gave it to my mom for awhile, and then when she died, I took it back (much to the disappointment of my niece). I just explained that it was a gift that meant a lot to me, as DH's mother died a couple years after we married.
Enjoy it!
