foufy, here's a good little intro:

I highly recommend joining the Yahoo! Pfaff group. There are folks there who know pretty much everything about Pfaff machines and the participation is so active that I have a hard time keeping up with all the questions and answers.
I hope it's OK to post the group's introductory page:

You'll find a ton of information there and lots of pictures, too. There are step-by-step guides, manual pdf files, links to videos, etc.

I know that there is an eBay seller who makes replacement timing belts. How good they are is entirely unknown to me.

cool! the belt looks good although a bit over greased. the machine is greasy and has yellowed oil. cosmetically there's some dings on the edges of the bed and wear on the decals. But it came with tons of unopened pfaff universal needles and singer needles, lots of accessories. so it will definitely be a good weekend activity. :-)
