Default I was good at the thrift shop

However, my husband was not - he took one look at this machine and announced it was coming home with us.

Not that I had any problem with that decisions - a rather neat machine.

The needle position lever is behind the head - near the foot uptake lever. It looks like it takes high shank feet, will have to see what I've got in my collection.

I do think it's been messed with - the needle clamp has a slot and two needles will fit - except that it's oriented front/back instead of left/right.

It came in a nice desk style cabinet.

This is the newest one I bought (eBay) for my collection - very excited to get this machine! And it came with two "bullet shaped things" - seller's words.

I also got some neat attachments for my collection - including several puzzle boxes. Will post those pictures later.

I'm still moving machines around too. No idea where DH's new machine is going to go.

Love your VS1 Cathy and glad it came with all the bits. Rare machines mean rare parts

I'm still watching for a VS2. I'm deliberately going for the "not nice condition" ones. I get a nice example at a bargain price LOL!!

LOVE that white. Have never sen anything quite like that. Te shape is rather reminiscent of a Necchi.

I have no idea at all about that White. The only other machines I know about with two tension dials are the German mid-century machines. Is this a clone or copy of one of those?

Kenmorerulesall has a Kenmore branded one that is at least similar with the two tension dials. IIRC he said it was German made. There is a similar but not the same Anker on Shopgoodwill right now.

No, I'm not bidding, but I wish I could.
Macybaby your husband has a good eye. I would have snapped it up too.
Very nice VS1 as well.
Congrats on your new additions.

It is a German made machine, and from what I've read - it is speculated that it's made by Gritzner-Kayser for White - several parts are stamped Original G-K.

Rodney - One side benefit of getting the VS1 - DH can use the packing to get your machine packed up this week. Right now it's sitting here in the den with me

it went in the mail this AM - so we were officially down by 1! Until we stopped at the Salvation army and DH saw a Necchi for 9.99. It's a later plastic open arm model. We were dropping something off, and figured it was worth looking around.

I found some attachments marked VS2 at the antique shop - and some high shank ones that I hope will fit the White.
