Default Kenmore 158

I got this machine at GW online, for under $10. (Shipping was $39.00 ) It came in at the first of March. My nephew was staying at my house while his parents took a short trip. He had to work & couldn't get off on short notice. Anyway he helped me unpack it. I pulled out the machine in it's case & was disappointed ta discover no foot peddle. I put it aside till i could see about ordering one. Yesterday I noticed a small package of plastic in a corner behind the desk. I guess my nephew pulled it out of the big box & just put it aside. Anyway I played with it yesterday & taday. It sews great for piecing & FMQs great! I put a machine flange binding on a charity quilt yesterday & its not good for that. Oh well I think that it will be my FMQ machine.

The old Kenmores run like trains. Just clean out lint and oil regularly and she'll perform well for you forever. I have several old Kenmores in the 158 series. You got a great deal! Enjoy!
