I rescued a similar machine from the trash this summer. It would not move at all when I got it. But like you all say - oil repeatedly and try to move it every once in a while. That's what I did and within a week it was running almost perfect. I never did get the feed dogs to drop. Oh well. I donated it. I'm pleased that it did not go to the landfill.

I bought a Kenmore about the same age of that one, when it was new and used it for many years, was a very nice machine and did everything I wanted it to do except serge.lol I bought a serger when White first brought them out and was a happy camper. Good going on getting it fixed up.
