Letting go is hard
There is a sweet little 99K on eBay that I'm watching the minutes tick down on right now
It is really sweet and i really want it. Is this hard for all of you too?
The thing is I already have a 99K so i can't see getting another one, but it needs a case. I got mine for two dollars at a thrift shop and it sews well.took it to my sewing guy and he wanted to out it in a case and dumb me I said no. I regret that one. Sorry for the downer post.

I have more than one 99K in my collection and it's OK for you to have another one if you want it. One of mine is a hand crank I couldn't pass up - don't have a clue as to why. Another is a Spartan made by Singer - thought it was interesting as it only has a base and never had a top covering (as in a case). I purchase most from Pennsylvania
Quilter (Richard Neff) -all his machines come in as perfect shape as follows - no relation m- just a very happy customer.
Did purchase one 99K from eBay - very apprehensive how it would arrive - came so well packed it took me several hours to get it unpacked!
Love those 99Ks!!!

My friend had a 99k Handcrank -1949 that she showed me 3 yrs ago. Hubby and I drooled over it. She finally got over her withdrawls as she got if from a friend that died. We traded computer work and sewing for it so last week
she brought it over. Been moved around a lot last 3 yrs but I could touch up the bentwood case. My friend doesn't sew but I think she felt by letting it go she was loosing a part of her other friend. She knows that I was happy to add to my vintage collection and will treat it with respect. Other 99 is 1955 electric in case. A good condition Singer 201 would finish my wishes ---as far as I know now !!!!!!!
Soon I will be adding pics but not tonight.

Thank you all for all your support, I was feeling pretty miserable about it which tells you how much I love vintage machines!
I found my little 99k at my favorite thrift shop back in the day when I didn't know any better. It just needs a case. It's the same shop I found my featherweight in for 27.00. I also recently found my 301a in the cabinet with instruction book and original attachments for 49 dollars. Not too bad!
Thank you ladyinpurple - I'm going to contact Richard Neff about a carrying case for my 99K!

Sideways, I am always getting free strays from all the customers that come in to my work, because they know I am a nut when it comes to sewing machines, I don't turn any free machine away... you can always take them from me... I see we shop the same places too....
