It is like they are taunting me. TAUNTING. After I just said that I wasn't going to go down the treadle path.

The only thing saving me is that I'd have to rent a van to get it. Having a small sedan has saved me from myself more than once.

Then what a weird way of designating on Singers part....you would think they would just name it a 201-x similar to how they named the 15-90,15-91, etc.

I believe that it takes different castings (pivot boss on neck, hole in bed) than the 201, so it's not really a variation of a 201 like you're referring to with the model 15 machines having a few parts interchangeable.....

Yes, CD's right. Its quite rare, and I'd buy it if I had the chance.

Glad I don't live near there.

Wish I did. I'd love to have that machine and table. But although I could bid on it and win it, getting it shipped across the country would cost way more than I can afford.

So .... somebody needs to rescue it.

Well folks I was the top bidder on the sewing machine last night. I moved and re-arranged sewing machines last night to make room for it. After lurking and watching it on the GW site I decided that I really wanted it to join the herd/hoard.

Congrats Caroline. Let us know what you think of it when you kick her into action
