Nice to see that quest has a happy ending. I've seen a couple versions of cases for those, one opens at the top and the other is more like a suitcase. Mine had the top opening case.

Looks like some kind of ink to me. You may have to live with it. BTW, nice sewing machine.

I'm trying to think of a name. When I took shop we had some stuff we'd put on metal parts to see where they needed fitting. For the life of me I can't remember the name. I think it was blue or purple too. And if you got it on your skin, it took forever to get it off.

Or, drafting ink?

It doesn't bother me, I'm just curious. The stain is part of the machines history.

That is a beautiful machine--is it a 3/4 version of White? It doesn't look so big to me, like the ones I have--old, and are mostly Kenmores.

My other White made machines that have cases are the top opening ones. I'm not sure what to look for as far as the suitcase ones go.

I remembered it: Prussian Blue, that's what the machinists use.

It's a full sized machine. It's shape does make it look smaller though.

That is a good looking one Joe! The knobs look pretty good too, I have seen several for sale that had crumbling knobs.
