That is a nice one!
Unfortunately I didn't win the online auction. The price went above what I could afford, but I bidded as high as I could and made the winner pay. It turned into one of those bidding wars, lol!

My little featherweight has developed a loud clanking sound on the bottom and top of a stitch(as the takeup arm is at the top and bottom .. still sews beautifully.. I've cleaned and oiled etc. and talked to the Featherweight Shope .. I am guessing it might be the hook but I can not see anything out of place etc. I am concerned something might break..It started making the sound after I broke a needle.

you'll probably have better luck starting your own thread. This one is near death, I think.
FW are notorious for tiny bits of thread drifting to bad places. Look it over carefully with an excess of light Rock it by hand and keep your tweezers handy. Look at the area around it closely. Do you have all the broken bits of the needle? Shake the machine around and see if something falls out.

That being said, if it started after you broke a needle, it could be that your timing is now off, or like you said, the hook may be bent.
