Beautiful! I've been hoping a nice one would show up locally. Not sure where I would put it, but it's too lovely not to make room for!

I am the lucky owner of two of these. I got one from each grandmother! They are not exactly the same, but they looked matched to me! Think I got a double dose of sewing genes? I do!

I have one also. Like Laura, mine has a sliding tray in the top drawer. Never looked for any number but now will. Mine was inherited from my husband's aunt. Love it, Use it.

I have one of those made out of walnut. It was in bad shape and I picked it up for $10.00 at a garage sale. My husband put it back together and refinished it. The top drawer has the tray inside it.

I'm sitting right next to one right now! It belonged to my BFF's Mom. BFF didn't want it, so her Mom gave it to me when she was downsizing....just love it. Mine has an extra sliding piece in top drawer with 3 circle shape impressions.

Great find! I like the room it's in too.
Now you just need one of these to go with it.

These are lovely pieces of furniture but I don't really understand what they contain. Could someone please photograph what's inside those side cabinets and in the drawers? Or maybe the drawers just hold stuff and it happens to usually be sewing stuff? This does not hold a sewing machine right?

Thanks in advance.

Edited to add - Sorry! Never mind. As soon as I posted this I realized I could just do a google image search and find this info myself.

The first ones shown are sewing cabinets for keeping hand sewing supplies in. The one I posted is a White in the Martha Washington cabinet. They actually have a decal inside with Martha Washington on it.

I keep watching for one of these sewing cabinets and I know one day one will come to me.
