Great find.
I found a Paddy myself on St. Paddy's day 6 years ago.
He's my avatar.

Uh oh!!!! It sounds like this is your first vintage machine and that you have definitely caught a very serious and contagious virus (there is no cure for this) that causes you to seek out and bring home vintage sewing machines. Soon, you will find yourself running out of room and then looking for inventive ways to display your "collection"......hahahahaha!

Anyway, Paddy looks like a beauty!!!! I have two 201's but they are not treadles. I would love to have one of those!!! I highly recommend the book, "The Sewing Machine Attachment Handbook" by Charlene Phillips:
http://www.amazon.com/Sewing-Machine.../dp/0896899233 to help you learn to use the attachments.

The yellow thing looks like a row counter for knitting or some thing. I have one very similar to it. Nice machine and the cabinet is diffrent. Once all closed up, no one would know it's a sewing machine. Good luck in finding the parts you'll need such a new belt for it. Huggies, Fay

You're quite right, I am indeed most smitten! I can't imagine a more pleasant contagious virus to have! In fact, this is such an insidious virus, that I was recently offered an ol Singer 27 portable in pretty rough shape, but Billy has assured me that I can make her shine and be useful again - and, I'm GOING TO DO IT!

I just love that book on attachments you suggested! Yes, it looks like a must have for my new found addiction, er, hobby. Thanks so much for enabling me, er, helping me to better understand this new life!

Ooh, I have so much to learn, so much fun to have!! :-D
