redmadder,

When you get a chance order some Tri-Flow grease. I get mine from Sew-Classic. Once you get it clean out the grease your DH uses and regrease the gears with the Tri-Flow. It will work better.

I do my own automotive lubrication and do not use automotive grease on sewing machines.

Easy there JM. I didn't put big rig grease on it, just a little machine oil. Grease is on my list for Sew-Classic.
