Default My First Two-Toned Singer 301A

I have a couple of black Singer 301's, but this is my first two-toned one. I got it at an estate sale toward the end of summer and haven't had time to work with it. Well, we have been snowed in since Saturday evening, so yesterday I got it out, cleaned and oiled it. Today I am quilting a skateboard quilt, and I am very pleased with how the 301A is behaving.

Nice machine. I have a solid beige. Do you find your 301s are "heavy drinkers?" Mine is a perfect lady, but when she wants oil, she starts sassing me...just a little.

I learned to sew on the 301. Now I own a black one, a two tone a black short bet and a beige one. I even found my ML's card table.

When I saw that you're in West Texas, snowed in, I scratched my head! I'm in Maryland where we hit 68 degrees on Christmas.

Anyway, congrats on your two-tone beauty. Looks like a good bit of harp space . Cute quilt too.

I love making skateboard quilts!! Oh the 301 is pretty too. My 301 is a black short bed.

Here's a picture on one of the ones I made.
