This is the type of swing arm model I'm looking for. I don't think it has any difficult to replace timing belts, only rods, hinges and gears, and they run very nicely. I don't think there are any grease points on them either, just oil. The motor bearings usually take grease of course. Tri-flow should make it run extra smooth. I have turned to Finish Line Ceramic Wet Lube, because of the teflon and it's just the right weight for sewing machines. This is a type of model that's well worth investing a bit of time and moeny to fix up. I polish my machines with resin type car polish (the liquid type) after they are cleaned. I am so envious of your find ;- )

I got a BU Friday for $27. but it had the slide plate. I'm not feeling stung. Be sure and check your wiring. Mine is missing insulation in a bunch of places. hmm I haven't take a pic yet. Bad Leon It was advertised as not having a controller. It was a knee controller on the cabinet. Thing is really dirty, but it runs over by hand.

Plugged mine in and it runs like a dream. Checked all the wiring and everything seems to be in good order. Planning on giving her a good cleaning and oiling once we get moved (hopefully next week-ish), unpacked and settled in. Overall, I am quite pleased with finding it!
