Charlee (who is on this board & seems to know just about everything to do with vintage machines) has helped me tremendously. Singer emailed me a manual but it was not for my 128(VS) but Charlee knew exactly which one & sent me the link & voila, it is the right one. You are right though, it is so hard when you don't know much about vintage machines. This board is an incredible resource as someone always seems to know the answer to your questions. The members are incredible & so sharing with their knowledge.

These are beautiful machines. I just purchased a 128 made in 1926 which is a hand crank and just love it. Can you tell me what attachments will fit this machine along with a place to purchase extra bobbins. I have been bidding on E-bay for weeks for attachments for a Red Eye treadle back mount style. Needless to say I have not won. Thanks for any assistance you can give.

Your 128 will take the standard low shank attachments (the kind you find in the green cardboard Singer boxes). Bobbins can be found...I actually think Joann's has them...
I may have an extra ruffler for your back clamp 66, but unfortunately, I don't have the other attachments for you. Wish I could help more, but will keep my eyes open!

Congratulations on your "new" mahcine! She is very pretty. And like Charlee said, you are at the top of a very slippery slope, but I'll tell ya, it's a very fun ride!!

That machine just screams, "Look at me, look at me!" gorgous. Enjoy it. Love the old machines here.
