I have a few machines, but only really call my featherweight by name -- Anne. I named her after St. Anne de Beaupre, who is the patron saint of seamstresses, and is also the patroness of Quebec (I am of French Canadian descent). It seemed like a natural to me.

Sorry , I can't get on to your wavelength at all. All my machines are it, and none of them have names. Doesn't mean I don't love them though.

I decided to name mine after reading a post a while back about machine names. My machine came from my dear Mother after she passed almost 2 years ago. She mostly made doll clothes and she liked Dolly Parton - so of course I named the machine "Dolly"!

Just a question...how does one tell if a sewing machine is a boy or a girl???? Hmmmm.....
My Featherweight has a swelt little figure. Has to be a girl! I'm naming her after my precious mother, LaMurl
