I also am nuts for vintage sewing machines. Most of mine are Singers, but my first treadle was a Standard. Other than my embroidery machine, my newest sewing machine is a '70s Kenmore. Next is a '60s White I inherited from my mother. My Singers include a 2-99s, 27 treadle, 101, 201, 221, 301.

I love the fact that they are simple, sturdy, and they will likely outlast me. I got a real thrill when I tested my vintage buttonholer on my Singer 27 treadle and it worked beautifully.

I keep up with what is happening on the 'Board' while I sew.
I have learned so much from being a part of this great community of quilters.

I like your room. I really like the quote framed with your piece of a quilt:

"Marriage is like an antique quilt, stitched together with love and meant to last a lifetime."

May I use the quote, and make something similar for my DD, who is to be married next June?

Please use it. So fitting for your daughter and her upcoming marriage.

That framed quote was a wedding present from a friend when hubby & I married. I had not started to quilt yet when we got married. I have only been quilting a few years. Hubby & I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary in August of this year. Someone knew I would be quilting and it really fits in my sewing room.

May your dear daughter be as blessed in her upcoming marriage as my hubby & I have been. God is good.

I like your display of Singer items that you have collected.
Your room looks comfy with all those vintage machines. I like your thimble display with vintage spools of thread above.
Thanks for sharing!

I would love to come and decorate your sewing room. It would be fun cleaning it out together, although I think we would talk and laugh too much to get much done. lol
