That is one lovely machine - and one lovely neighbor, as well! What a sweet present, and how much more meaningful to you than buying one from a thrift shop (although I like those, too!). You'll always have a charming memory to go with your machine!

Just a suggestion - why not write a "biography" of your machine and its previous owner, that you can pass along to whomever gets it next!

What a sweet, awesome thing for him to do! Such a beautiful machine and in such a pristine condition. I have a Viking that I bought new in 2003 and I love it. It is my main sewing machine. Of course, it probably isn't made nearly as well as your lovely machine. Congratulations and as somebody said, name it after him. You have truly been blessed.

How wonderful of this gentleman to give you this machine! I'm sure he wanted it to have a good home. Take care of it as he did.

Good Heavenly Days! You must be dipped in "fairy-powder" and blessed by all leprechauns-united.
