thanks for that info. Good to know. I have been to all the Good will and other thrift stores in the area many times over the last few years and only every once in a while do I find anything related to sewing/quilting. I keep saying "you have to kiss a lot of frogs..." I guess it depends on who donates, and when.

Great find...... I look for them all the time at auctions but they always go really high. You did GOOD!!

mine is 1957 and has metal legs.....as original owner, the year is certain!

Do you know if the wooden legs came before or after the metal ones?

My mom's is 1949 or so and her's have wooden legs - the newer ones have metal legs.

I love Goodwill - sometimes I find quilt books there - I also found a small Shark travel-type iron there recently for a whopping $3.50 - I am going to use it when I do applique - much cheaper than the Hobbi-lok that I really wanted ($30). I always look for sewing machines and tables - you never know what they will have.

And ... I am sooooo jealous, but happy for you, that you found a table - I want one!

Great find. You have all convinced me to start checking out the Goodwill stores. Never knew you could find stuff like featherweight tables there.

Wow!! What a fantastic price on the table. The tables were made in 1940s-1950s, I think.
