I recently acquired a New Home 560. My father bought it at a flea market, I think. I brought home when they moved from their house to Assisted Living.

I've just had it serviced and it straight sews and zig zags very well.

I'm pretty sure it has cams that were made for it, but all I have is the simple zig zag cam marked 0. How and where would I get additional cams for it?

And where would I find out how old it is?

A picture of the machine would help. As for cams, that's almost always a crap shoot. Many of us vintage machine collectors/users have several sets of cams that we don't know what they go to. Very few for Japanese machines are marked for what machine they go to, and some manufacturers used different cams in different models. Kenmore cams are an exception to this, most of those are easy to spot because the case is labeled.
Since you have one of the cams you're one step ahead, you know what the right ones for your machine look like. The usual auction/selling sites are your best bet. Search for stitch cams, pattern cams, etc. people call them all kinds of different names.

These are *not* the right cams, even though they say New Home:


They're too big in diameter, and the hole that should fit over the stud to turn the cam is offset too far to the outside. The one that I do have is 1 3/8 inches, outside diameter.
