I doubt there's any additional value, to me it's more of a cool oddity than a valuable collectible.

Rodney,

I just had a thought.

IF that machine was a treadle machine, which it probably was, that decal would be facing the front, right side up when the head was laid down in the cabinet. You open the cabinet and it says .... NEW HOME.

Hows that for a theory?

Maybe so. It would be worth finding other similar New Homes to compare it to.

I just spent some time on Ebay looking at antique New Homes. A lot of sellers are using chimp cams there too. The few I found of similar vintage that had decals had them right side up.

That's where you give the camera to a chimpanzee and let it take the picture. It amazes me that people selling something can post a bunch of pictures and not have a decent shot of the front, back and sides of whatever they're selling.
