I'm so excited to see the pictures. Great for you and glad you have such a great husband. Good luck on the house purchase, I hope it goes as well.

For singer machines, here is the part of there website you can date them from the serial number.

wow, what a treasure, can't wait for pictures,

tell hubby he needs to look for more houses so you can find the cool garage sales

you might need an extra house just for your quilting studio with your machines, wouldn't that be fun!

OK folks here are pics of my newest sewing machine. As some of you recall it is a 1921 Singer 66 Treadle machine with cabinet that I paid $25.00 for at a garage sale.
Let me know what you think and thanks for looking.

    :XD:

See how it made itself at home? Fit right in with the pre WWII clock.

I can't believe how intact the decals are..

This pic shows the extent of the damage this machine has.

I love the detail on that plate, wish my FW had that.

This is how it came to me, it has yet to be "cleaned"

Thanks, I still need to clean her up and buy her a belt and the wooden "thingy" that hooks to the treadle. But other than that she looks pretty good how she is.

She came with this wooden spool of linen on top.

I wouldn't sew with that thread, though. Keep it for looks.
