Mine also has the same bracket to hold it up, but I only have one on the left side of the table, none on the right.

I agree!! Terrific sewing space to hold the weight of a project!! It would be nice to have that much room to play on!

She is lovely. I have one just like her, but have not been able to find a power cord with 4 prong plug yet. Came close, but the config. was not exactly right. Still looking. OSMG has it working fine now. Will pick her up Saturday. He used something he made to power her up, but it stays with him because it is just temporary. Still looking.

Great machine and cabinet! I have made two tops on mine and it sewed like a champ. Mine has a knee bar and I much prefer it over a foot pedal. I've never tried out the cams.

I also love the cabinet. Mid-century style is a favorite of mine.

You hit the jackpot. That machine is the bomb and so is the table. I had a good dozen of those tables purchased from an empty school. I kept one. I don't remember how it is braced but I think you could park a truck on it. It was after all tested by high school students... I have my favorite machine in mine. I didn't know the thing that covers the machine hole when the machine goes down had a place on the side to hang it when not in use until a couple months ago. I'm hoping it is still hanging there, too. I'd shoot a pic but I don't live at home right now.

I found a very similar Rocketeer off Craigs List a while back. Same cabinet, but it was painted all white. She was pristine! Love the machine, prefer it's knee controller. She sews beautifully and came with 22 cams! Practically a give-away at $40!

If someone offered me the same machine and cabinet I would have died and gone to heaven!! LOVE the machines from the 1950's and 1960's.

Wesing - didn't know it had a knee controller, read your post and looked underneath and there it was!
Miriam - I wondered what to do with the part that covers the machine hole until I read your post. It is now hanging neatly from the side of the cabinet.
Thanks for the info!
