Pre featherweight/ Standard GE Sewhandy
I had only seen two previously. One was in a buy it all or nothing pile of badly rusted machines. The other was at the VSM in Tulsa. But one showed up for sale about 40 miles away. Of course I had to have it. It is later one by GE shortly before singer bought them. Cast iron body and base. It has all its pieces and runs. Now to oil it and get acquainted. I have ONE precious bobbin. It snaps into place.

I have one of those too! It didn’t take much to clean it up. I had to realize the hand wheel goes in opposite direction. I have one bobbin. I found a fellow to sell me some back then but they were very expensive. Fun item.

I don't quite understand the bobbin. It kind of reminds me of the W&W's.
Thank you for the pictures with the Featherweight. Really neat comparison.

it may have to travel to Colorado, Janey. I've never seen anything like that setup.
bobbin clips into the bobbin case, then an arm tilts the case into place and clicks in. Very little room for fingers or photos.

Dianne has a GE Sewhandy that she wrote about last year and gave some books that helped her with hers. Colorado get-together?
Maybe she will actually bring to one of the Get-togethers.
