this is what we are looking for.. 1947 to 1954 . long story why so many are behind the motor . if you were around back then you know why

Wow, that is neat that it says that! I wasn't around then, but close, didn't arrive until 1962 :) lol

beautiful little machine. It has the same foot pedal as my Commander. My great aunt bought it in 1948 if that helps.

Those controllers were the most commonly used ones clear up into the 70s and maybe later. Imported machines were usually sent as bare heads with motors, controllers, cases/cabinets and sometimes even name badges added by the distributors once they got here to the US.

Absolutely amazing that every one that is posted is different no two were the same. If I remember correctly doesn't Bonnie Hunter own a Sewmor? I believe that her machine was black but not positive.

I'm fascinated by the fact that no two of these machines have been the same. I've also got a black one, but it's a bit different than the blue one. I don't have a good pic of it but here's one that shows it.

My blue one, shown in my first post on this thread was made by Toyota. There's no markings on the black on to designate who made it.

Post a pic of the bottom of the light fixture. I can tell you if it's rewireable then.
