I never actually count them either and they are well placed throughout the house so as not to overwhelm any one room. I've been successful so far in hiding my "crazy", but with the Davis treadle and now the Singer 115 treadle it starts to show a bit right when people come in!

I've been getting more casual this year about bringing things in and just setting them here and there. In fact, there's one still in my car! I had better get my act together!

I have 9, and am not collecting. Really, I'm not! (Maybe I need an intervention?) Haha!

I have machines stashed everywhere and love them all. I switch machines all the time to sew. Right now I have three projects going on three different machines. I can't stand seeing a nice old machine neglected and froze up when someone used to love her and the current owner thinks she's a piece of junk. If its in good shape under the crust I buy and rejuvenate then off to my quilt group I go to sew on it feeling really good with a new project for the new machine. Sell?! I can't stand to part with any. It's like my horse and mule...no way Jose'...I'm afraid the new owner may not feed them right. In the case of my machines...oil and clean. Yep, I know I am sick but it's better than drinking!

I love my Kenmore 158.850! And my 158.540! And my 158.880! And my ... well, you get the picture. I'm up to a mere six. I am neither a hoarder nor an addict. I am an enthusiast!

As to finding cams, the 158.850 takes style E which I believe came with # 1-7. The full set of 14 came with the 158.540. Other models also use this set of cams but I don't recall the details. They aren't always labeled well and # 1 - the basic zigzag, is generally missing as it is often left in the machine and becomes separated from the set. I can post pictures of the cams if that would assist in your search. Just let me know.

My husband was given a Singer 258 I believe the number is. It works. How many is that now?

I went to go look at this Wheeler and Wilson yesterday. Didn't need it. and I was almost hoping it would have major pieces missing. OH but it needed me. The poor thing would barely move. and the cast iron is badly pitted. Ok it came home. After 1.5 hours of cleaning and oiling it is spinning freely. Now to find a needle. D9model between 1892 and 1905.

Does anyone know of a good place online for fabric? I like Fabricguru.com but would love to know who everyone uses.

I love my 158.850! and my 158.750 & my 158.540 & my 158.880! And those are just my Kenmores. : ) I won't start to worry about my collecting habit until I surpass 50 or so. That would still not hold a candle to some on this board!

edited to add - Just noticed this was an older post that I comment on last August 2015. I've since added the 158.750. And I do still love them all. Ha!
