how did it happen?

I started out with a JC Penney sewing machine. Now I have a Featherweight, a Kenmore and I just picked up a White model 568 for 5 dollars and a little plastic singer sewing machine for kids. Oh and the old Singer my brother gave me with a cool sewing cabinet that currently holds the White.
I don't want to part with any of them. I'm sick, I've caught the sickness. :p

Well, hate to tell you, but, there's no cure. No medicine to fix it. Just gets worse. The only thing that helps is more sewing machines.

I may give the White to my daughter after a thorough going over by my repair guy. But I want to play with it first. The Kenmore is a 158.850 and I got the cams on ebay.
Does anyone know of a good place online for fabric? I like Fabricguru.com but would love to know who everyone uses.

So many good ones, Missouri Star, Connecting Threads, Fabric.com, Marshall Dry good among others. I have a treadle singer, a white rotary treadle both in nice cabinets, A singer with cams, model slips my mind, with cabinet and knee lever, Helen my Grandmothers 201, a smaller singer much like that 91-??, a Kenmore 1521 I bought new in 1970's, Kenmore 19000, a brother SQ9000 and a babylock serger 3 thread and a Janome 4 thread. I quit because I had no room for more, and can't use some I have because of lack of room.
Too old to build a room too, so I get green when I see nice sewing rooms.
But love to see others spaces.

I really wish there was a point and laugh button. :) You have the same problem as the rest of us here.
If you're after fabrics other than quilting cottons Mood Fabrics is fun.

I agree with everyone. There is no cure.. So welcome and embrace the illness... I try and contain myself but sometimes I cannot resist the lure of the decals and sleek lines of the vintage machines....
