This is my Union Special designed to sew up the tops of feed or grain bags. It is in time out since it doesn't want to play.
I prollly should have thrown it into a few gallons of oil.

I had to make a belt for the Pfaff when I ran it off an air powered steam engine. Why not?

leonf, I hope you caught what I was trying to say by "no reason to apologize or hide under a rock". That comma in there made it read differently.

Wow, I'm excited to see how that Union Special behaves after having a time out. Cool machine.

The air powered steam engine Pfaff, who knew? That's cool too.

So, it's been awhile since I've participated here, but wanted to show off the work Ziggy has done on the 66 and the combo table.

He only started cleaning the 66 so he could start refinishing the table and I had started on the 15-91 (still work in progress).

Let's just say he has caught the bug. He is now the proud owner of a 127, Sphinx and looking for a Rocketeer and a # 42 cabinet https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/biggrin.png

Anyhoo, here's a sample of how lovely she has turned out. A couple of before and after photos. Because there was a large, deep burn mark and veneer peeling beyond repair, he replaced it with some of the black walnut we cut down around the house this past year.

Ziggy is also learning how to sew. Had never done it before. So for his first project - straps/ties for face masks.

1st photo - his first time sitting at a sewing machine.
2nd - I had to try out the 66 too https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/biggrin.png so next batch of masks.
3rd - he's trying out the binder attachment, this is his 2nd time at a sewing machine.
4th - later that same day - straps/ties for more than 32 masks.

I hope everyone is doing as well as they can be right now!

I burst out laughing when I saw all those ties! Amazing and beautiful job on the 66 rescue. My Mom had a Singer 301 in a cabinet like that,

That's why I had to include that photo. Everything is completely under control https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/biggrin.png . Thank you QuiltMom2, I think Ziggy did a wonderful job on it too and what a treat to sew on and with it. I love these combo tables and I also have my eyes open for a black 301. Never thought about the two of them together!
