Hi, here are my cabinet pictures and some inforelating to our machine. I also have the original chair that came with the cabinetwhich I also refinished and put a new cushion on. Discovered the knobs aresolid brass, they always looked black to me. A Dremel with a wire brushattachment cleaned them up in seconds.

The Raico company was located in Chicago.Machines were put together in Japan and finished off here, mainly with thedecorative labeling and the Raico seal. The Japanese clones as they are calledhave many labels but I have been looking for similar features, lever, knobs, etc. in my search for a manual. There is a generic manual that is helpful.
http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mach...ion-manual.pdf Also a youtube of someone demonstrating the closest one I could find to ours. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJSW914Bhs0 Lastly the yahoo group, it has tons of beautiful pictures of these machines. I recently posted pictures of our machine. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/...gmachines/info I plan on keeping mine. It's up at the house now and I have already used it. Sews beautifully. |
