Old sewing machine

I need some help please. I have a Stitch Master Raico (or Raice), in cabinet, in great condition. The serial no. is A48567. I have looked on line to learn about this beautiful sewing machine, but, alas, I am keep coming up blank. If someone can send me a link or information about my machine, OR, if someone wants to buy it, please let me know. Thanks to my Quilting Board friends. Sophie

If you are local to Woodstock Il, you can look at it if you like. Yes, I could sell it.
Don't know what to ask for it, as I can't find it on the internet.

Selling sewing machines is like selling used cars, some look good and the engines or other unseen parts are thrashed, or it looks terrible but the rest is in good shape.

Each sewing machine should be evaluated on its own merits, exterior and paint, decals, parts all there, electrical, clean or not, used recently or has it been sitting a long time, smooth running or needs work, has it been to a local sewing machine guy for cleaning and repairs recently?

Like a car does it have it's original manual, was it one owner?, in a table or case and what kind of condition are they in, any accessories in the original boxes and cleaning and repair visits receipts? All of these things go into pricing a vintage machine. You really can only get a ball park price range on the web.

The basic rule is it's worth what someone will pay you for it. Sad but true especially in the economic downturn.

Would like to see a picture of your machine, I don't recall hearing that name before.

I'm trying to resize her pics so I can upload them for her.

Okay here they are. The pics were too large, that's why they wouldn't load.

It's a pretty 15 class clone. Not rare or valuable but it should make a good stitch, these older clones only do one thing but they do it very well.

I like the early (to the West) Japanese machines, with their Singer "inspired" designs and lack of plastic. This one has a handsome face plate and chrome hand wheel. The orientation of the bobbin-winder guide on the bed of the machine is unusual. As Cari said, despite their high quality, demand is low so the selling price will have to be also.
