The pattern for this quilt is a feedsack pattern that I found in an old quilting magazine. The centre portion of the quilt top is the original design I have added the borders to make it a queen size topper. My Singer Featherweight is a dream to sew my tops with especially when we are on the road in the fifth wheel because I do not have to worry about a computerized machine getting messed up with the bouncing on the road.

The Christmas twister is cute! Too bad it was so difficult to get through the quilting. I'm glad you got it all out and finished it, because it turned out really nice.

Tricky, your quilt is like looking through a lattice wall into a garden, very pretty. The gold makes it seem that much richer/lush.

Here's my latest offering, another miniature quilt, pieced on my 1913 Serata treadle, and the writing, applique and binding done on my 1927 Singer 99K hand machine. I made it for the January doll quilt swap, which had the theme "Show me where you are from." I couldn't resist turning it into a quiz, so if you go to the thread Doll Quilt Quiz in the pictures section you can see if you can crack the riddle!

Tricky, your garden quilt is lovely. I have been looking for a pattern for Asian fabrics for a GS. That one might work.

Wolverhampton England motto is "out of darkness cometh light". The button is for Button Gwinnett; English born and lived in Wolverhampton with wife before moving America. He became an American political leader and representative of Georgia to the Continental Congress. He was the second of the signatories ( the first signature on the left) on the United States Declaration of Independence.

Your button on the left symbolizes Button Gwinnett's signature on the left of the Declaration of Independence.
The smoke stacks of Wolverhampton during the Industrial Revolution are in your quilt. And on the right is the quill (quill pen) that Gwinnett would have used for his signature.

You once lived in Wolverhampton area.
