Candace 10-15-2013 02:07 PM

I've wanted to do that many times. :>

Charlee 10-15-2013 02:12 PM

ROTFLMAO!! I have a couple that you can "fix"!!

momto5 10-15-2013 02:24 PM

I'm going to do something similar with one or two of mine....now, if I can just find a 400-story building...:)

Tippysmom 10-15-2013 02:40 PM

Wish you had been around when I unveiled the "roach-infested" machine and cabinet! A couple of good whacks and they would have scattered to the next county.

Don't you feel so much better???

Well since you aren't right next door maybe you need a tutorial so you can do it yourself. Maybe other people have some ideas. I like the 400 story building idea. Sledge hammer is what came to my mind first. I DO have another T&S in the garage... What should I do with that one???

J Miller 10-15-2013 02:47 PM

LOL, that looks like you got rid of months of pent up anger and stress right there.

Were I still in AZ I would have fixed it by shooting it. :D

I have a T&S in the garage too. It needs the same treatment.

oldsewnsew 10-15-2013 02:56 PM

my avatar subject has only barely escaped the same fate,...twice

BDawn 10-15-2013 03:17 PM

Love it. I have wanted to do the same thing to oh lets see a computer and a camper that we never use.

wilburness 10-15-2013 03:17 PM

YIPPEE. I hope you feel much better! LOL

Mdaniels 10-15-2013 03:18 PM

Also an excellent reference, lol. Thanks!

Stitchnripper 10-15-2013 03:27 PM

miriam 10-15-2013 03:31 PM

Love your ad!! Love the tutorial. I was thinking 20 gauge shotgun or a 30-06 rifle ought to take care of the T&S.

Sandra in Minnesota 10-15-2013 05:38 PM

Thanks .......I needed that!

Sideways 10-15-2013 06:37 PM

Love the Craig's list ad Miriam, so doggone funny!!!

Glad you got some frustration taken care of, you should hear me when I'm driving, lol, regular potty mouth.

nanacc 10-15-2013 06:43 PM

Good therapy! I have no pics, but I did the same thing with Hubby's old recliner. Very old and he kept welding it back together. Finally agreed to use DM's after she died. Could not find a way to get rid of it.............Then I solved the problem as you did! Boy, those recliners are harder to to smash than a machine! Ended up with sledge hammer, pry bar, screw drivers, and wrenches. Still Very Satisfying! LOL

vintagemotif 10-15-2013 07:12 PM

Haaaahaa. That's the best Craigslist ad! Miriam, you are so funny. In my opinion, ALL T&S should be trashed...go to.

kind of my thoughts. save the good parts...

Redsquirrel 10-15-2013 08:02 PM

I'm still laughing.....this is awesome.

pennycandy 10-15-2013 10:28 PM

LOL! I picked up one in a cabinet at SA for $15. Someone attempted to "fix" it. The cost of the missing parts are more than the machine's worth. I'm considering taking it apart as a learning experience. I may resort your solution if it becomes too frustrating.

amyjo 10-15-2013 10:46 PM

Miriam, I had a good laugh over that tonight. We all need to vent sometimes and that seems to be the best way, so no one gets hurt. Loved your CL ad also, wonder how many dummies will want it.

so far just the voice of God wants it. But he wants me to come down. LOL I think VOG is a QB member:

"$425

Old people shouldn't get carried away - I hurt all over this morning... and DH probably does too, he did most of the damage. It sure took my mind off things for a while... :D:D:D

Tippysmom 10-16-2013 02:14 AM

Thanks for the laugh! It reminds me of my favorite movie, "Office Space"!

Thanks for the laugh, and good job. Hope you feel better.

nanna-up-north 10-16-2013 07:52 AM

and my grandkids think quilting is boring..... NOT. What a great LOL I had seeing this. Love it!

Wanabee Quiltin 10-16-2013 09:16 AM

I love this: Sometimes when something is stuck and even DH can't get it loose, I tell him the same thing "Never underestimate the power of an old woman" and then I attack it. It always works !!
