your Rocky is a twin of my rocket. mine did not come with a cabinet, but the price was right at $10.00 mine came with tool box, book, and 4 cams, which I have NO idea how to use or install. One of these days I will thread it and try it out. Am wondering if I can drop the feed dogs on this machine and if any one has ever done FMQ with one?

Thanks Billy, I was looking at the manual, and noticed that.
When I did some sewing on it I left it on the top and left the likdclosed. It sure sews nice and is so quiet. You said you had one too, didn't you? sounds like you may have one of each model!! I think I may keep the cabinet. I got the nicks covered and will tighten the legs. Now to find a place to put it!!

Yes, I think the feed dogs drop. I think I read it in the manuel. I'll experiment on it soon.

Great find and rescue. I know Rocky will soon be a part of your life and you wouldn't be able to imagine life without.

Yes, I always tell my DH that I will fix it up and sell it. Yea Right. I get them all cleaned up and can't part with them.

Can someone explain to me what "cams" are? I'm not familiar with old machines and their attachments.

Wow! Great machine! Best to you!

I am new here, but I love old machines. I picked up a 503A in the Goodwill store today, for $20 it is in a small cabinet. It has the Zig Zag cam in it, it had no booklet or anything else. Where can I buy the zig zag faceplate. It sews so good, has beautiful stitch, all she needed was a little oil. I love to read about everyone's finds. That is the first thing I look for in the thrift stores.
