[QUOTE=miriam;5987342]I think I found a Phoenix manual 282 for free. http://rudolfcouture.com/wardrobe/in...d=49&Itemid=39 /QUOTE]
Ahhhh yes, Rudolf and I are already buddies :) He's in Sydney and it seems that every time I get a machine, he already has the same one (or similar). Plus he is a couturier so we also have that in common. You are all being so fabulous - thank you! I have written back to the offending person and achieved my personal goal of not being angry or mean in any way. I think the worst thing I could have done was let his poor behaviour alter mine in any way. Now I feel "free" :) ... and with so much encouragement, I feel confident about finding another copy if I am patient enough. |
I wonder if he accidentally misplaced the decimal point and really intended to put $15.00. I would find out if that is the case, but I would not deal with him at all if he tries to stick with the outrageous price of $150. He must be copying it by hand for that price.

I suspect he did not WANT to go to the trouble of copying the manual, and that is why he priced it so high. I can understand your disappointment, though, and I might just say, "That is way too much, sorry."
|
I would offer him what you would be willing to pay for it, plus shipping (and that would be pricey for sure!) I just recently shipped something "down under" and it cost the buyer as much to ship the item as I was selling it for. If hes not willing to do that, then keep on looking. Sooner or later one will come along.
|
It seems everyone is out for the almighty dollar because I wondered why he couldn't take the time to scan it and send it in an e-mail? It might take a little bit of time but no cost to mail and printing is done at the other end.

I think I would reply and say, "You meant $15.00 dollars right, not $150.00. Some people are idiots.

Do a search online with your machine info and its free to download. I've copied many manuals this way for different machines

I presume you're talking about a general online search? This is a manual that's not available online, otherwise there would be no heartache!! ;) |
