I always get a treadle belt at my local sewing machine store. The leather ones are best, the plastic ones crack.

Mine has a piece of aquarium tubeing for a belt. It has a little dowel inserted and glued to keep the ends together. It came that way when I bought it at a garage sale and I never changed it, works great.

Thanks for the info . We bought another treadle today with 2 cabinets. Is 3-1 oil ok to use. My newer machine never has to be oiled.

Please don't ever use 3-in-1 in any sewing machine, it gums them up and is horrible to clean off.
I get my treadle belts at the local Pfaff dealer. I use the zoom oil they sell at Joann's & Wal-mart, the long tube makes oiling hard to get to places lots easier.

Go to EBay. I saw some on sale there for about $4 yesterday. Also you can buy that little clip you need. Do a search on the EBay site for that too.
