I do love the cabinet and chair too but I also agree with you as to them hanging onto it for a while.

No kidding! I'm also trying to figure out why Singer (of which there are no dealers in this city anymore) would want a painted cabinet and a machine they haven't produced in close to 70 years...

I don't quite get that one either... It's not like Singer can't find some thing better looking...
