I did not get the HC from the Lawrence area. It was sold yesterday in a yard sale. I did get an email response from the seller thanking me for my interest. Am bummed but not in doghouse here which is good because we are experiencing rain today.

I'd be willing to bet that the seller never sewed one stitch with this machine.

What was your first clue? Could it be the the 1/2" thick layer of dust covering he table and machine??

Now I'm going to go cry for a while - this is the one (or parts of the one) in my 1906 manual . . .

I'd want that table if it wasn't butchered so badly. It's a four hour drive, and it if was the whole thing, I'd be on my way.

This is what it looked like before it got "improved"

The base is gone, the lower doors are gone, the upper doors have been moved forward, the back is gone and I'm sure ALL the treadle hardware is gone, though it may still have lifting mechanism. And it's in such nice shape, so it's hard to believe it was altered because it was ruined.
