I suspect that a lot of people just have them for decoration, and others may have inherited them, but have no use for them. I'd rather see them get passed on to someone who would use it, than just sit around and collect dust, or worse.

Unfortunately for that seller, he is going to be taking that one with him.

I believe that to most folks these are just decorations, like an old fake Christmas tree, sentimental but not actually valued.

Same reason most folks sell them with pics of the cabinet and irons only, because to them that IS all there really is to it.

sad.. But good for us when they are not delusional about it's value...
